My research areas include: interdisciplinary environmental humanities and ecocriticism, American (U.S. and indigenous) environmental literature and rhetoric, North American Great Plains literature and ecology, plants and agriculture in literature, critical plant studies, Omaha language and literature, and place-conscious composition and education.
I’m a member of the Association for the Study of Literature & Environment and the Western Literature Association. The WLA has recognized my work with the Taylor-Grover Award for best graduate student paper presented at the conference (2014) and the Louis Owens Award for graduate student presenters (2012).
